MSQ SAFE builds private label PPE under your brand across eight safety product categories, with branding, specification, sampling, label, packaging and change control confirmed model by model before production starts. There is no one-size program: scope, documents and acceptance terms are fixed in a written quotation for each SKU and target market.

What Private Label Means at MSQ SAFE

Private label here means the product carries your brand, your colourway and your packaging while the specification, testing basis and quality controls remain documented and traceable. The starting point is never a logo alone but a specification: protection level, applicable standard for the destination market, materials, sizes and construction. From that specification our export team confirms what can be branded, what must remain standard for conformity, and what the quotation covers. Anything outside the confirmed scope is raised before sampling, not discovered during production.

The program is open to distributors, wholesalers and brands across the eight categories on the product catalogue. Footwear uses our in-house manufacturing capability; other PPE categories run through the managed partner-factory network described on our supply network page, coordinated by one export team.

Branding Scope: Confirmed per Model

What you can change and what you cannot is confirmed per model, because it depends on the product and the standard it must meet. Common private label elements include:

  • Logo placement and colours on the product.
  • Colourway and material swaps that do not alter the protection level.
  • Retail packaging, inner boxes, poly bags and export carton marking.
  • Size markings, care labels and barcode placement.

Elements that affect conformity, such as the CE marking and its required pictograms, must remain legible and correctly placed. Our export team confirms what is customisable, what is fixed, and records the decision in the quotation. When in doubt, ask before sampling: request a quote with your intended changes.

Specifications: The Contract Before the Brand

Every private label program starts with a written specification covering the model reference, standard and protection class, materials, size range, colour options, packaging and labelling. The specification is matched to the target market: a program for Europe references the relevant EN standards, while other markets may require ASTM or ANSI requirements. Our standards and directives page explains what each standard actually guarantees, so you can brief your team accurately.

Because specifications differ by model, we publish no blanket certification claims. The standard applicable to a specific SKU, and the documents available for it, are confirmed in the quotation for that SKU, the same discipline we apply to our own branded products.

Sampling and Approval

Sampling is where your brand becomes real. The sample programme is confirmed in the quotation: what the sample will include, when it can be shipped, and the approval criteria. Bulk production starts only after the agreed sample or specification is approved in writing. Typical steps:

  1. Development sample with your logo and colourway for review.
  2. Correction round if the sample does not match the specification.
  3. Approval, recorded against the sample reference and date.
  4. Production planning released against the approved sample.

Sample timing, cost and any credit against the first bulk order are commercial terms confirmed in the quotation, not fixed values published here.

Labels, Packaging and Markings

Label and packaging work is treated as part of the specification, not an afterthought. For each private label SKU we agree:

  • Label content and placement, including size, care and standard markings.
  • Conformity markings required by the destination market and their exact placement.
  • Inner packaging, retail cartons and export cartons, including your carton marking.
  • Barcodes, batch codes or traceability identifiers you require.

Final packaging and labelling are verified at pre-shipment against this agreed spec. Branded boxes, inserts or cartons can also be included through the group’s MSQ PACK unit.

Change Control

Once a specification and sample are approved, changes are managed, not improvised. Any change to materials, construction, branding, packaging or documentation is raised as a change request, assessed for conformity, and confirmed in writing before production. The approved specification, artwork and label are the reference for QC, protecting your brand from silent substitutions.

Buyer Checklist

  • Define the protection level and the standard required in your market.
  • List every branding element you want changed or added.
  • Ask which elements cannot change because of conformity.
  • Confirm sample timing, cost and approval criteria in writing.
  • Approve the sample and label artwork against the specification.
  • Agree how changes after approval are requested and approved.
  • Ask for the pre-shipment inspection to verify packaging and labels.

How the Process Works

  1. Send your product, quantity, target market and branding ideas via the quote form.
  2. Receive a specification and quotation with branding, sampling and document scope.
  3. Approve the sample and artwork; production planning is released.
  4. Production runs with in-line checks; changes are handled through change control.
  5. Pre-shipment inspection verifies quality, packaging and labels before dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my own logo on safety footwear and gloves?

Yes, on most models. Logo placement, size and colour are confirmed per model, and any limitations caused by conformity markings are stated before sampling.

What is the minimum order for a private label program?

MOQ depends on the style, construction and category, and is confirmed by model in the quotation. Mixed sizes or colours within an order are often acceptable.

Do I have to use your standard packaging?

No. Packaging, boxes and carton marking are part of the program and can carry your branding, subject to the requirements of the destination market.

Can I change a material or colour after the sample is approved?

Changes after approval go through change control. They are assessed for any effect on conformity and confirmed in writing before production uses them.

Will my certificates and reports be the same as MSQ SAFE’s own brand?

Documents are confirmed per SKU and target market in the quotation. The report version, issuing laboratory and sample basis are reviewed before any document is relied on.

How fast are samples shipped?

Sample timing is confirmed in the quotation and varies by product category and development work required. The export team states the expected date when you request a quote.
